“Private Joint Stock Company “TV and Radio Company Lux”, owned by Kateryna Kit-Sadova, received a verdict of almost UAH 5 million in fines for violating the requirements of the advertising law. Glavkom reports this information, citing the decision of the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRGL), which was adopted on April 18.
R-217According to the law on advertising, outdoor advertising of gambling and advertising of trademarks are prohibited in Ukraine.
The regulator has fined Lux TV and Radio Company two fines of UAH 2.4 million each for placing gambling advertisements on a video screen at 7/11 Khreshchatyk Street in Kyiv.
According to the Youcontrol analytical system, Kateryna Kit-Sadova is the owner of this company, which is part of a media holding company that she also owns. The media holding’s assets include the national news channel 24, Radio Maximum and Radio Lux radio stations, as well as Zaxid.net and Football24 information portals.
R-218It is worth noting that Kateryna Kit-Sadova is at the top of the list of the richest wives of Ukrainian mayors. A recently released declaration shows that in 2023, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, his wife Kateryna Kit-Sadova, and their son Ivan-Pavlo earned a total of UAH 3.4 million.”
