Dobrobut market: why Sadovyi suddenly “remembered” it

Sadovyi threatens Galinvest with Lynch court, company accuses Lviv mayor of wanting to get a “share”: what’s going on
May 31, 2023Today, the Western Commercial Court of Appeal held a hearing on the appeal filed by the Lviv City Council against the Galinvest Joint Ukrainian-Austrian Enterprise Limited Liability Company.
According to the “eternal” mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, the subject of the dispute is the land and property that was cynically stolen from the city with a total value of more than 500 million. UAH.
It is worth noting that the Lviv City Council lost the court case in the first instance, and the claims were dismissed in full. But what is really disturbing is that despite the fact that the land plot was granted to the Galinvest JV in 1990 and the city council approved the location of the industrial and food market in 1999, Andriy Sadovyi did not see this as a problem for 15 years as mayor.
Even more interesting is Sadovyi’s cynicism in his statements after today’s court hearing.
– “Everything that starts in Moscow is a big scam.”
– “If they really made it minus 2-3 floors, there would be a lot of security space, because we have alarms, rockets every day.”
It turns out that the mayor has a short memory, because the years of friendship with the “friend of the city” of the sanctioned Russian oligarch Friedman have somehow disappeared from Mr. Andriy’s memory.
Even more interesting was the mention that this city could be used as a security space. Oh, an epiphany! And how recently, in 2019-2021, the city withdrew more than 10 protective shelters from the status of protective structures and sold them to the public.
By a strange coincidence, new residential neighborhoods were built in their place: 8 Rudnenska St., Lviv – Riel City Residential Complex; 116 B. Khmelnytskoho St. – Mistechko Pidzamche.Brama Residential Complex.
Perhaps they are not needed during the war, but Andriy Sadovyi knows best!
