In a recent interview with RBC Ukraine, he Andriy Sadovyy said that nationalist movements in Ukraine are financed by Russia to destabilize Ukraine.
This is how he commented on the creation of “language patrols” and in general a new round of tightening of language policy in the country.
“This topic has always been exploited by pro-Russian forces or those who receive funding from an aggressor country. They will throw in billions to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. Because they have already realized that they will not be able to take us over as they planned, so they will throw in funds to support different nationalist, radical movements, will support a la militaristic organizations from their own angle, and will spend billions on propaganda. You have to be ready for this, you have to understand it,” Sadovyi said.
Later, a video dated October 31 appeared on social networks. In it, the head of the Lviv regional headquarters of the Right Sector, Ivan Smaga, said before entering Lviv city hall that:
“Disrespected Andriy Sadovy, my colleagues told me not to raise this issue. God forbid if it is said again that perhaps nationalist movements or a la militarized structures will be financed from Moscow’s pocket – it will be the last thing you will say in your life. I do not speak for everyone, I speak for myself,” Smaga stated and, in fact, threatened Sadovy with death.
