18 years of self-praise: Andriy Sadovyi continues to play political games

Lviv’s “savior” or a master of self-promotion?

Andriy Sadovyi, the permanent mayor of Lviv for the past 18 years, has once again demonstrated his skill in self-promotion and political manipulation.
In a recent interview with Rostyslove Production, Sadovyi could not resist self-promotion, portraying himself as the “savior” of the city and skillfully avoiding responsibility for numerous problems.

Sadovyi began his story with a dramatic description of the “terrible” state of Lviv before he took office.
According to him, the city suffered from problems with water supply, lighting, and roads.
However, the mayor was modestly silent about the fact that many of these problems remain relevant today, especially the state of the roads, which is constantly criticized by local residents.

“Garbage blockade”: who is to blame?

Sadovyi’s words about the “garbage blockade” of Lviv sounded particularly cynical.
The mayor completely shifted the responsibility for this crisis onto former President Poroshenko, accusing him of political revenge.
At the same time, Sadovyi seems to have “forgotten” to mention his own inability to solve the problem of waste disposal over the years, which led to the critical situation.

Is Andriy Sadovyi planning to run for the next mayoral elections in Lviv?

There was also some traditional political deception.
At first, Sadovyi said he was not thinking about the upcoming elections, calling it “unethical” during the war.
However, a few minutes later, he transparently hinted at the possibility of running again, hiding behind vague phrases about “life that can return” so that he “will continue to work as mayor.”

A “victim of circumstances” or an ambitious politician?

It is also worth noting Sadovyi’s attempts to present himself as a “victim of circumstances.”
He spoke dramatically about how he “took time away from his family and parents,” as if it were a forced step rather than his personal choice to remain in power for almost two decades.

“President of the City of Lviv”: ambition above all else

Sadovyi’s boastful statement that he is the “president of the city of Lviv” deserves special attention.
Such rhetoric clearly demonstrates the excessive ambition and self-confidence of the mayor, who seems to have long since lost touch with reality and the needs of ordinary Lviv residents.

Conclusion: time for change?

To summarize, in his 18 years as mayor, Andriy Sadovyi has mastered the art of self-promotion and political maneuvers, but has not learned to take responsibility for the city’s real problems.
His rhetoric remains the same: he takes credit for his successes and blames others for his failures.

One can only hope that Lviv residents will eventually see the true face of their longtime “leader” and draw the appropriate conclusions.
Perhaps it’s time for Lviv to get a new, fresh leadership that will be less concerned with self-promotion and more with actually solving the city’s problems.
