Lviv has seen a significant expansion of the staff of the city council and its executive bodies. According to the decree No. 365 of August 15, 2024, signed by the mayor Andriy Sadovyi, the total number of employees increased to 1601.
On August 16 this year, the number of staff in several key departments and district administrations of the city was increased. The largest growth is observed in the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure, where the staff increased by 30 people, reaching a total of 135 employees. The Social Protection Department received an additional 50 staff members.
The staff of all district administrations in Lviv was also expanded: Halytska by 5 people, Zaliznychna and Lychakivska by 7 people each, Sykhivska by 7 people, Frankivska by 5 people, and Shevchenkivska by 9 people.
In addition, a new department for veterans and people with disabilities was created, with a staff of 10 people.
Overall, the number of officials in the Lviv City Council increased by 130, from 1471 to 1601. This decision, according to Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the city government and improving services for Lviv residents.
