Gambling: KRAIL fines the company of Andriy Sadovyi’s wife
April 21, 2024Lviv is actively working to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities and the integration of veterans into civilian life. This was announced by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi during the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine in Chernivtsi, Ukrinform reports.
“Lviv pays great attention to barrier-free accessibility. Just imagine how a veteran in a wheelchair would feel at this forum. This is not just a matter of this building in Chernivtsi. This is a need for the whole of Ukraine. We have created the position of an accessibility commissioner in our city, and we are implementing numerous projects to improve infrastructure, streets, and public facilities, including the train station,” Sadovyi said.
Mayor Sadovyi noted that during the full-scale invasion, the First Medical Association of Lviv received 18,000 wounded, including both civilians and, of course, most of the military. According to him, the issue of rehabilitation remains relevant, but it should be realized that without psychological support, physical rehabilitation does not work to its fullest potential.
“We are developing the Unbroken ecosystem, which includes sports, fine arts, and even fishing, because we understand that people in rehabilitation need to be distracted and return to an active life in society. We have certain obligations to our defenders and must do our best to provide them with the best conditions. Our city is currently implementing many projects with veterans, as it is important to integrate them into society and help them find a new rhythm of life. We have already allocated more than 53 grants worth UAH 350 thousand for veterans to start their own businesses. We already have 20 successful cases,” added Sadovyi.
The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine was created as a platform for cooperation between central and local authorities to jointly address pressing regional issues.
