Journalists from the Espresso.Zakhid publication investigated which mayors of cities in western Ukraine have the highest income in the region. Ihor Polishchuk, the mayor of Lutsk, took the first place with a salary of UAH 1,054,469 in 2022.
Andriy Sadovyi, the mayor of Lviv, took the third position. During the reporting period, he declared a salary of UAH 813,309. However, this amount is three times less than the income of his wife, Kateryna Kit-Sadova, who works for Radio Lux and is the richest among the wives of Ukrainian mayors. Her income in the family company in 2022 amounted to UAH 2,341,985.
The article states that the entire Sadovykh family media business (which includes several different legal entities), a 660-square-meter house, and a m, two land plots in Lviv with the area of 702 and 301 square meters. m, as well as a 2017 SKODA KODIAQ worth UAH 968,700 and a 2021 MERSEDES-BENZ V300 worth UAH 2,374,350 are registered to the mayor’s wife, Kateryna Kit-Sadova.
